VetSouth Fall Conference FAQ

What does registration include?

Your registration includes:

• Attendance to classes on your registered days
• Exhibit hall access
• Breakfast & lunch buffet each day of attendance
• Full access to all digital conference proceedings
• GVMA tote bag
• Attendee badge with quick contact swapping QR code

Is your CE approved by my State Board?

It is the individual’s responsibility to know the specific requirements of their state. State VMAs are blanket approved by most states for continuing education.

How many hours can I earn by attending?

Each day includes 7 hours of CE that you can attend. If you attend the entire conference, you could receive up to 21 hours for the DVM classes. For the technician/staff program on Saturday & Sunday, there would be a maximum total of 14 hours.

Where should I stay?

The conference will occur in the Hotel at Avalon's conference area. Staying at the Hotel at Avalon will ensure that you won't need to leave the building. You are just an elevator ride away from the meeting rooms

All other locations will require transportation in order to reach the Conference.

I registered! What now?

When I registered, I picked specific topics. Do I have to attend those or can I attend other topics?

For Veterinarian registrants: You can attend whichever classes you would like each day. We use the classes you chose at registration to give us an idea of room sizes for the more popular topics.

For Veterinary Technicians and Staff who have chosen a discounted Vet Tech / Staff registrarion, you are restricted to the Veterinary Technicians and Practice Managements topics. Should you wish to attend the Veterinary Medical topics, you must register for the Full-Access option.

What time does class begin and end each day?

These time are subject to change based on scheduling developments: CE sessions start at 7:00am Friday – Sunday. Sessions dismiss around 4:00pm Friday – Saturday, and 11:40am on Sunday.

How will I get my CE certificate?

Following the event, you will receive your CE certificate directly to the email you provided at registration. We will send pre-conference emails and CE certificates to all attendees at the email provided on the registration form, so be sure this is entered correctly! Note that it takes time to verify attendance, and it may take up to 2 weeks to deliver certificates.

We do not use the QR code on your badge to track session attendance – your CE certificate will list every session that happened at VetSouth on the days that have attended, and you select which ones you attended.

Can my partner/guest/child visit the exhibit hall with me?

The exhibit hall will only be open to registered attendees and partners/guests with badges. Badges for partners/guests and children over the age of 16 can be purchased at the registration desk (to cover the cost of the daily meals). Due to insurance requirements, children under 16 are not permitted in the exhibit hall.
